WORKS to install new Water Corporation pipes along Railway Parade commenced this week and are expected to run until December 11.
This will result in the closure of Railway Parade between Helena and Marion streets for about four weeks and detours will be in place during that time.
Access for residents, businesses and pedestrians will be maintained and detours and traffic management, including lane closures will be in place as required.
Intermittent work will take place between 7am and 7pm, Mondays to Saturdays and it is expected there will be no disruption to water supply during the work program.
Businesses and residents can expect intermittent machinery noise during excavation works and the roadworks will include removing existing asphalt and pavement construction, increased truck and light vehicle movements with noise and dust to be managed.
Meanwhile the new Ellenbrook station is powering ahead, with the station structure largely complete and the tracks entering the station now laid.
At this stage Ellenbrook is all on track to open at the end of next year.
