A NEW church is launching in High Wycombe this Easter, with a mission to bring hope, connection, and community to people of all ages and backgrounds.

High Wycombe Baptist Church will officially launch on Easter Sunday at 9.30am, at 24 Edney Road, High Wycombe, and is inviting the community to celebrate a fresh start with an uplifting service and family-friendly activities.

Senior Pastor Wayne Field said the vision behind the launch was to provide an opportunity to do something fresh.

“We want to build a church that is accessible to people at every stage of life and faith,” Pastor Field said.

“We’re really passionate about being a church that reflects the diversity and heart of the community,” he said.

“It’s part of our DNA to value and incorporate the different cultures represented in our
neighbourhood.”

Pastor Belinda Lakelin said while they were thankful for the churches already established in the High Wycombe area, the church believed they bring something a little different.

The church aims to be a multi-generational, multi-cultural community with a strong local focus.

From the outset, the church is placing a strong emphasis on creating a welcoming environment for everyone – children, families, and individuals alike.

The launch service will include live music, an inspiring Easter message, and a free family Easter egg hunt.

“Whether you’re new to the area, curious about faith, or looking for a fresh start, we’d love for you to come along,” Pastor Lakelin said.

“You don’t need to have it all together to feel at home here.”
