ST Brigid’s Primary School last week celebrated the official opening of their new Year 1 extension and pre-primary playground refurbishment attended by Hasluck MP Tania Lawrence.
Ms Lawrence said work on the new facilities was delivered with support of federal government funding of $178,155 through the capital grants program and will improve student educational outcomes.
“A lot of work has gone into this project which has delivered a refurbished general learning area and playground,” she said.
“These new facilities will provide school staff, teachers and students at St Brigid’s Primary School with better, more modern spaces in which to work, teach and learn.
“The Australian government is committed to providing all schools with appropriate funding so that all students, including those in St Brigid’s Primary School, Middle Swan get the best possible education.”
Ms Lawrence said the new facilities would benefit the students currently at St Brigid’s Primary School, as well as the many students to follow in the future years.
“The teachers, staff and students at St Brigid’s Primary School have built a strong and positive school community and these new facilities will further enhance our local educational opportunities,” Ms Lawrence said.
“Our government strongly believes in providing the best possible resources so that local students can realise their potential and develop the skills they need to go on to further study or join the workforce.”
