NEW traffic infringement payment options are now being offered by the Department of Transport (DoT) to assist those who may have difficulty paying by the due date.
A range of online payment options and infringement services are available on the DoT website and DoTDirect as part of a more modern, customer-focused online traffic infringement management system for Western Australia.
The new payment options and services include direct debit payment instalment plans, payment extensions, identifying the driver of the vehicle, and electing to have the matter heard by a court.
The new DoTDirect infringement services make it easier to submit the identity of the person behind the wheel at the time of an alleged traffic offence.
The community can also log into DoTDirect to view traffic infringement images or request a review or a court hearing.
Minister Assisting the Transport Minister David Michael said the new options include a payment extension or a direct debit payment instalment plan.
“The changes also make it easier than ever to review infringement photographs, identify the driver of the vehicle at the time of the alleged offence, request a review or elect for the matter to heard by a court.”
