THE Swan Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2024 is a significant event for businesses and organisations in the rapidly growing east metropolitan region of Perth.
Judged by an independent panel of five experts, there are 25 different categories to nominate under, while also showcasing the diversity of local businesses in the Swan area.
Categories include ‘young entrepreneur’, ‘business of the year’, and ‘community spirit’, as well as other industry-specific categories ranging from fashion to health services. There is also a ‘people’s choice’ award as voted by members of the public before presentation night.
Nominees need to have been engaged in business within the east metropolitan region for at least one year prior to applying.
To be eligible, they should provide judges with an overview of their business and insight into how it has been expanded and promoted, including its journey to success.
Guests can look forward to an evening with like-minded business owners, the opportunity to network and enjoy some great food and wine from the Swan region and celebrate the outstanding achievements of our business community.
Swan Chamber of Commerce chief executive officer Tom Smilovitis said last year’s awards were a huge success and a significant event in the life of businesses in the east metropolitan region.
“The incredible venue - Sandalford Estate - was ideal and provided the perfect backdrop for the awards allowing the 250-plus attendees to party until late to celebrate their achievements,” he said.
“Feedback from last year’s event was fantastic as was the humour and wit of MC Tim Gossage.
“We are very excited to take this year’s event to a new level to celebrate our business community.”
Nominations close at midnight on Sunday, June 16 and finalists will be notified later in June, with winners to be announced at the awards presentation night on July 6, to again be held at Sandalford Estate.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available so head to the Swan Chamber of Commerce website to sponsor a category, nominate your business, business owner, employee or apprentice, and book tickets for the event.
