ELLENBROOK’S community radio station is holding a weekend of non-stop radio to support Make-A-Wish Australia foundation.

April is Make a Wish month and VCA88.5FM is kicking off their wish-a-thon radio marathon at noon on Saturday, April 26 and won’t stop until 6pm the next day.

The station is aiming to raise $8850 and every donation takes them one step closer to granting a wish for every eligible child in Australia.

“This is the first time a radio station anywhere in Australia has hosted a radiothon for
the Make a Wish Foundation and your support will make a world of difference,’’ the radio station said.

The 30 hours of non-stop broadcasting will be filled with amazing stories, special guests,
exciting challenges and plenty of
opportunities to donate.

The event wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of radio station’s volunteers.

From their on-air presenters to the behind-the-scenes crew, everyone involved is generously
donating their time and energy to make the wish-a-thon a success.

Station president Jimmy Antartis said every contribution, no matter how big or small, would make a difference.

“We will have multiple ways to donate throughout the event, which will be announced on air,’’ he said.

“Let’s come together and make some wishes come true.”

All donations $2 or over are tax
deductible.
