THE Cook Labor Government has completed another major redevelopment project with upgrades to the Ray Owen Reserve now complete, delivering modern sporting facilities to help support sport across the community.

Backed by a $5 million investment through the WA Recovery Fund, the project has transformed the reserve, complete with an additional playing field, upgrades to the existing oval and new floodlighting across both playing fields.

The redevelopment includes new sustainable irrigation infrastructure from the Hartfield Park Aquifer, helping maintain high-quality playing surfaces while supporting the long-term operation of the reserve.

The project builds on the accessible changeroom upgrades completed in January 2025, further strengthening Ray Owen Reserve as a modern and inclusive sporting precinct.

Sport and Recreation Minister and West Swan MLA Rita Saffioti said completing the redevelopment of Ray Owen Reserve was another great outcome for the local community and for the many sporting clubs that call this reserve home.

“These upgraded facilities will support everything from junior training and weekend competitions through to community events, ensuring the reserve remains a vibrant local meeting place.”
