REIWA: Ellenbrook third in weekly sales performance

Ellenbrook ranks third in weekly home sales, trailing Baldivis and East Perth, as Perth’s total property listings fall 12 per cent from four weeks ago.

ELLENBROOK has landed in third spot for the past week’s weekly market snapshot from REIWA, selling more properties than Gosnells and Perth.

In top spot for sales by suburb, Baldivis led with 21 sales while East Perth trailed behind by five, having recorded 16 sales for the week ending June 22.

Ellenbrook had 13 sales and was followed by Gosnells and Perth tied with 11 sales in each suburb.

According to REIWA, there were 3999 properties for sale in Perth at the end of last week, which is 1.8 per cent lower than the previous week.

This was attributed to house listings decreasing 3.2 per cent compared to the week prior and listings for vacant land decreasing 1.4 per cent, while unit listings increased 1.5 per cent.

Last week’s total figure of properties available for sale is 12 per cent lower than four weeks ago but 23.2 per cent higher than levels seen a year ago.

In Perth’s rental market, REIWA members reported there were 2454 properties for rent in Perth at the end of last week, which is 1.2 per cent up from the week prior. Last week’s rental listings figure is 3.5 per cent higher than four weeks ago but 2.8 per cent lower than a year ago.

No eastern suburbs made the top five list of suburbs for rentals with REIWA members reporting 704 properties leased last week, which was 7.3 per cent higher than the previous week, 4.9 per cent higher than four weeks ago and 2.6 per cent higher than a year ago.
