SHIRE of Mundaring residents with an appreciation for history and an eye for evolving architecture are invited to take part in a new photography competition for a chance to win one of three $100 vouchers.
Proudly presented by Mundaring Hills Historical Society and Shire of Mundaring libraries, the Relics, Wrecks and Renos photography competition encourages participants to enter their photographs to win in three categories.
The winners will take home a gift voucher to spend at a local business of their choice.
Shire President James Martin said the competition was a novel way to capture the history and unique character of buildings in the shire.
“We are looking forward to the unique and creative entries from our community to this competition.
Anyone with an interest in photography or architecture will find the competition a great way to explore our built environment,” he said.
“The competition is also a way for us to build on our image archive of historical buildings.”
Photographs of buildings and structures located within the Shire of Mundaring can be entered in the following three categories:
Relics: historical buildings or structures, Wrecks: damaged or unrepairable historical building or structure, and Renos: historical buildings, monuments or structures which have been renovated and are in use.
The competition is open until Friday, November 10.
To enter refer to the full terms and conditions of entry and complete your online submission via the shire website.
