Significant seizure of 14kg of meth and cash

Detectives from the transnational serious and organised crime squad (TSOC) have charged two men from Ellenbrook and Ballajura, following an investigation into suspected drug trafficking activity in WA.

It will be alleged, during the search police located a duffle bag containing 14kg of methylamphetamine.
A further search of the property yielded $10,000 in cash and multiple encrypted mobile phones.

Further search warrants were later executed in Ellenbrook and Mirrabooka where it will be alleged police located $114,220 in cash, 28 grams of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

The 49-year-old Ellenbrook man was charged with: One count of sold or supplied, or offered to sell or supply, a trafficable quantity of methylamphetamine; one count of possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property; one count of laundering property/money from proceeds of major offence; one count of possess a prohibited drug and one count of possessed any drug paraphernalia in or on which there was a prohibited drug or plant.
He was refused bail and appeared in the Midland Magistrates Court on Friday, May 19 where he was remanded in custody to reappear for mention on July 28 in Midland.

The 47-year-old Ballajura man was charged with: One count of possessed a trafficable quantity of methylamphetamine with intent to sell or supply it to another and a count of possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property.

He appeared at the Midland Magistrates Court on Friday, May 19 where he was granted bail to reappear on June 16 in Midland.
