KALAMUNDA Water Park waterslide refurbishment is underway, with residents expected to be able to slide around in the park by the end of November.
July 25 ordinary council meeting saw the revised scope of works for the water parks slides approved, with the budget increased from $300,000 to $713,000 for the renewal of two slides.
The speed slide, which has not been used since 2016, is included in the works and is set to be demolished.
The refurbishment will see the slides change colour, with sapphire blue being the colour of choice.
Speaking at the October 17 ordinary council meeting, Mayor Margaret Thomas said she was thrilled to share an update on the park.
“The refurbishment work is right on schedule for a grand re-opening in November, aligning perfectly with our usual season opening date,” she said.
The water park is expected to re-open November 20.
