FOR more than 40 years St Stephen’s Anglican Church in the Forrestfield, Wattle Grove area has been involved in providing stationery items for needy children in local schools in the City of Kalamunda.
“This year we supplied to 14 schools, giving many needy children an opportunity to start their school year with what is needed to carry out their education in class including pencils, pens, rulers, rubbers, files, calculators, colored pencils and highlighters,” Parish coordinator Maureen Cooke said.
She said stationery was ordered, packed and delivered before the start of term 1.
“To help with the cost, we received generous donations from CWA Kalamunda and Kalamunda Rotary Club, and this helps greatly in allowing us to do this each year to assist local families.”
