THE City of Swan has released a digital flythrough video showcasing the potential look and feel of the Swan Active Ellenbrook project, with earthworks to commence next month.

The project is the city’s largest infrastructure project to date.

City of Swan Mayor Tanya Richardson said it was gratifying to see the community’s joy as long-awaited projects came to fruition.

“The community’s passion for seeing their suburb transform was felt at the Ellenbrook train line opening as a cheer erupted when Swan Active Ellenbrook was mentioned,” she said.

“As I looked around the event, I could see the newly installed signage surrounding the nearby Swan Active Ellenbrook site – highlighting its proximity to the train station and representing a wealth of investment in the area.”

Hasluck MHR Tania Lawrence said it was the start of a new era for Ellenbrook residents who would have more facilities at their fingertips than ever before.

“The community expects us to deliver modern social and infrastructure projects in their area and with the opening of the Ellenbrook line and the impending start of works for Swan Active Ellenbrook, that’s exactly what we are doing,” she said.

wan Hills MLA Jessica Shaw said the aquatic centre was a huge win for the community.

“From the opening of the train line to seeing the Swan Active Ellenbrook project come to life, it is an exciting time for the Ellenbrook community who has patiently waited for these facilities,” she said.

Deputy premier and West Swan MLA Rita Saffioti said she was extremely proud to have delivered the project for the people of Ellenbrook.

“Ellenbrook and Perth’s eastern corridor is thriving with the opening of our promised train line and now the impending start of works on the Swan Active Ellenbrook leisure facility guarantees even more activation in this area.”
