Swans win adds to Notte’s 300th 

The tight game ended in a win to mark off Tony Notte's 300th footy game as a Swans player.

YOU could not have scripted it better with Tony Notte taking a trademark mark as the siren sounded in his 300th game with Swan Districts having scored the impressive and important 11-point victory against Subiaco.

It was a historic occasion on Saturday at Leederville with Notte becoming just the second Swan Districts player ever to reach 300 games and the seventh overall in the WAFL competition in history.

It was a tight game with the Lions but in the finish two late goals from Jiah Reidy sealed the deal and then it was Notte taking a big mark on the siren with Swan Districts prevailing 9.11 (65) to 7.12 (54).

The win gives Swans 4-4 record for the season to move to fourth position on the WAFL ladder by the end of round 9 having now won the past two matches and three of the past four.

Jiah Reidy ended up kicking three goals in the win for Swan Districts with all coming in the second half which included the last two of the game that took his team to the eventual 11-point victory.

Jesse Glass-McCasker played a crucial role in the win too – kicking two goals while also helping out in the ruck and ending the game with 10 touches, four tackles, three marks and 20 hit outs.

The Swans midfield was once again outstanding with Josh Cipro racking up 27 possessions and laying five tackles while Jye Chalcraft gathered another 27 disposals and Nik Rokahr had 23 touches, nine inside 50s, six marks and six tackles.

Captain Jesse Turner also finished with 22 possessions, four marks, four tackles and four inside-50 entries with Jackson McLachlan gathering 21 disposals, Aidan Clarke 15 and milestone man Notte 15 to go with six marks.
