Teen sentenced after cruelty charge

A Chittering teenager will be eligible for parole after he was sentenced for animal cruelty for mowing down 11 kangaroos.

A TEENAGER, who appeared in Midland Magistrates Court on August 1, was sentenced to eight months in prison after mowing down 11 kangaroos.

In late 2022 WA Police charged 18-year-old Boston King of Chittering with one count of animal cruelty and one count of reckless driving.

King, who will be eligible for parole, had his drivers licence suspended for 18 months.

He was also fined $1000 and ordered to pay $264.30 in court costs.
