S&R ORCHARD in Walliston is inviting visitors to take part in the festivities with a free animal farm, tractor rides, Christmas photo opportunities and plenty of shaded picnic spots under the fruit trees this December.

Running until December 23, visitors may wander through the orchard, pick fresh nectarines, and take home a 2kg picking bag included with adult admission.

The orchard has been decorated with plenty of props to make this Christmas unforgettable with a car that’s been covered with snow and strewn with gifts and mini Christmas trees.

Visitors will have the chance to take a photo among the staged areas of the orchard with Christmas props in place to enhance the feeling of the season.

A big Christmas tree with teddy bears on the side or the giant gingerbread man and the festooned phone booth all make for viable locations to snap a picture to celebrate the December cheer.

Santa will also be making daily visits to ensure children have a chance to meet the gift-giver and take a photo among the lines of nectarine trees and bauble-filled Christmas tree.

Snow will fall all around during the event to help emphasise the winter wonderland aesthetic.

No booking is required to attend.
