THE West Coast Fever squad of 10 contracted athletes for 2026 includes  Midland sisters Sunday and Ruth Aryang.

The other West Coast Fever squad members are Jess Anstiss, Jordan Cransberg, Kadie-Ann Dehaney, Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard, Sasha Glasgow, Alice Teague-Neeld, Olivia Wilkinson and Fran Williams.

On August 14 West Coast Fever said Ruth Aryang was still rehabilitating an Achilles injury sustained prior to round three.

Head coach Dan Ryan said she was a generational talent with a very bright future.

“Before injury ended her season in April, Ruth was absolutely flying, and we all got a glimpse of what she is capable of, to know that she is something special,’’ he said.

“Ruth is progressing well with her recovery and rebab, and as a club we are with her every step of the way.

“We can’t wait to see her back on the netball court in 2026, alongside her sister, Sunday, playing the game that she loves.”

Ruth Aryang said she was very grateful that West Coast Fever had backed her in for season 2026.

“I am excited for what 2026 can look like and for what I can bring after the awesome 2025 season the team had,’’ she said.

“I am also beyond excited to just play some netball with the team once I’ve recovered.”

West Coast Fever lost the 2025 SSN grand final 59-58 with the Melbourne Vixens claiming the win.
