IT was a round filled with stunning individual performances for Midland Guildford Cricket Club.

The male 1st grade side played away at Bayswater Morley last weekend in their 50 over match.

A strong opening partnership between Jordan Road, with 38 runs from 42 balls, and Mitchell Pope, with 60 from 98, set the platform for the team to post 230 all out in the first innings.

Nathan Barnwell led the attack with his first five wicket haul for the club as he claimed figures of 5-53 from ten overs.

They would dismiss their opponents for a total of 210 all out to secure a 20-run victory in a good all-round team performance.

In the male 2nd grade match, the team fell short by just three runs against Bayswater Morley despite the efforts of Matt Harben, with 5-47 from 10 overs, and Lennon Brookes, 54 not out from 70 balls.

It was a difficult weekend for the male 3rd grade and male 4th grade teams as they both suffered defeats against the same opposition.

The female A grade team dominated their match against Rockingham Mandurah as they won by nine wickets after chasing down the target of 67 runs for victory.

It was a similarly comprehensive display by the female B grade side against the same opponents, after they posted 6-217 with Lily-May Lyndon top scoring with 131 not out from 140.

The bowlers then dismissed the opposition for just 78 runs to complete a 139-run victory.

The Premier T20 team secured their position in the finals after a victory over Gosnells by three wickets.

Brayden Brehaut took 3-15 from three overs in the bowling innings to help restrict the opposition to 8-150.

The run chase was led by Calan Hill, with 42 from 33, and Austin Thomas, with 33 from 18, as the side eclipsed the target with one ball remaining.

It is set to be another round full of exciting matches and opportunities for teams to solidify their standings this season
