MIDLAND Guilford senior female and female U17 teams completed matches last weekend while a number of male teams played in ongoing matches.
The female A grade side faced Wanneroo away from home.
After winning the toss and bowling first, a collective effort that was led by Molly Lincoln (three wickets for 23 runs from 10 overs) saw the side dismiss their opponents for a total of just 114 runs in 40.1 overs.
A fast start to the innings was provided by Ruby York (23 runs from 20 balls) and Abbie Whybrow (29 from 32) put the side in a strong position, before Morgan Pires (19 from 14), Bree Hyde (20 not out from 24) and Sheldyn Cooper (12 not out from 23) finished off the run chase in 21.5 overs with four wickets to spare.
Playing against Melville, the female B grade could only post 146 all out despite Alisha Kozma top scoring with 69 from 88.
The side could only dismiss three batters from the opposition and they lost the match by seven wickets.
In the female U17 match against Melville, the side would set a modest total of 9-158 after winning the toss and batting first.
Georgia Baker (28 not out from 61) and Kaitlyn Magistro (20 from 39) were the leading scorers in the innings.
Sharna Abbott (3-25 from eight overs) was the best bowler as they restricted their opposition to 148 all out to secure a 10-run victory.
Magistro and captain Rebekah Farr would also take two wickets each in the win.
The matches coming up this weekend will have big implications for teams hoping to play finals at the end of the season.
