RIDING high on momentum after their stunning 12-0 victory over Cockburn last week, Perth Hills United took on Beeliar last Sunday afternoon.

Fielding the same starting line-up, Perth Hills were eager to extend their winning streak and after a strong start, Tenney soon set up Wittber, who coolly slotted home just three minutes into the game.

Throughout the first half, Hills displayed control and flair, producing some quality football despite the wet conditions.

Their dominance was only marred by some wayward shooting, with one notable effort ending up in the nearby tennis courts.

Their persistence eventually paid off when Bryant buried a shot in the corner to make it 2-0.

Coach Webb’s halftime instructions were to keep it simple, raise the tempo and use the extra pass before taking the shot.

This advice proved effective as Hills quickly scored their third goal early in the second half, courtesy of a beautiful curler from outside the box by McKain.

The team’s cohesive play continued to create numerous chances, and they surged to a 6-0 lead with goals from Tenney and McKain, completing the latter’s hat-trick.

Despite losing their clean sheet through goalkeeper error, Hills still secured a convincing 6-1 victory.

This win marked their third on the trot - placing them second on the ladder.

With a tough home game against Peel next weekend, Perth Hills will need to maintain their form if they want to clinch the title.
