At just 26 years old, Alicia Rheeston-Stewart is already making waves in the world of distilling having won two Master Medals at the Global Gin Masters in the UK together with number of gold and other medals around the world, including gold in San Francisco, in just two short years since distilling her first gin.

Alicia’s accomplishments were further acknowledged in July when she was bestowed with the title of Swan Young Entrepreneur of the Year.

This recognition attests to her entrepreneurial prowess and her ability to make a significant impact in the business world.

Those accomplishments were further acknowledged as AmberChes was awarded Finest Local Beverage Producer by the Swan Chamber of Commerce.

Swan Business Awards 2023 – Wow what a fabulous night, 260 people coming together to celebrate Business. So very blessed to be a part of it.

And then to be winners of Swan Business People of the Year. Something of a surprise considering we did not nominate.

As Mike, our current president told us, it is always given to a single person. So when they were picking a winner, our names kept coming up and because we are always out together, we come as a unit.

They decided to give it to both of us, truly an honour .

So SLW Transport stands for Shane and Leanne Willcox (SLW). Shane came home 15 years ago, and said I’m going to buy a truck, I had a few things to say for which he did not listen, (god bless him) and SLW was born.

Swan City Youth Service is a not-for-profit youth service operating for over 41 years in the Midland area.

We are a drop-in Service for at risk youth and provide a holistic approach to assisting young people in whatever capacity, walking along side young people ages 12 - 25 years.

We provide programs including education (Certificate I & II General Education), music studio, young Parents & Bubs, Kadadjing Circle (young men’s connection to culture program), and a school holiday program.

We provide counselling and alcohol and other drugs (AOD) support, we provide a referral service to specialist services in the area and support the young people to attend appointments.

As a stand-alone Not for Profit organisation we can see all those young people that would otherwise fall through the gaps, there is no limit to counselling sessions, there are no pre-requisites and, no cost.

Young people can come into the service and get immediate help from one of our experienced youth workers and we pride ourselves on the fact our door is always open to them.
