Midland Guildford Cricket Club’s junior and female teams took center stage this weekend, with the female U17 securing a dominant nine-wicket victory over Rockingham Mandurah.

IN the first matches for Midland Guildford Cricket Club in 2026, the female sides and junior teams were the focus of the action this weekend.

The female A grade struggled to post a competitive total against Subiaco Floreat as they were bowled out for 110 after 36.5 overs.

Georgie Manek took 4-22 from ten overs in the bowling innings as their opposition chased the target with four wickets remaining.

In the female B grade match against Subiaco Floreat, they were able to dismiss their opposition for 194 in 38.3 overs.

Zoe Tickner took 4-56 from eight overs, but the target proved difficult to chase down as they were bowled out for 70 in a 124-run defeat.

The male U17 were beaten by 19 runs in their T20 match against Wanneroo, while the Male Under 15s won by 20 runs against the same opponents.

Parker Byfield top scored with 55 runs not out from 57 balls in the win.

It was a dominant nine wicket victory for the female U17 in their T20 match against Rockingham Mandurah.

Their opponents posted a target of 111 for victory with Kaitlyn Magistro, 2-2, Amani Sharma, 2-20, and Georgia Baker, 2-31, being the key contributors in the bowling innings.

Magistro, with 63 not out from 60, and Baker, with 37 not out from 56, both played important roles in the run chase, sharing a 101-run partnership as the side won by nine wickets.

The female U14 played against South Perth and posted 7-101 after being asked to bat first by their opposition.

Their opponents managed to chase down the score with four wickets remaining and three overs to spare.

An exciting weekend of matches coming up with most teams in action, including the senior male sides completing their two-day matches against Wanneroo.
