PARKERVILLE Steiner College students will host their very own art auction and sale at Bellevue Cottage on Saturday, March 14 featuring works from students and other talented local artists.

Year 11 coordinator Robyn Smith said sales would be donated to the college’s upcoming volunteering camp to the Kimberley later this year.

There will also be raffles, live music, food, drink and games with all proceeds going towards the camp funds.

“Alongside its community impact, the event also presents a valuable opportunity for student skill growth, leadership development and real-world enterprise experience,” Ms Smith said.

“The students will be responsible for running every aspect of the art auction and sale, supported by teachers, families, and local businesses, including the owner of Bellevue Cottage, the incredible Larrece Lucas.

“The event gives teenagers the powerful opportunity to get out into the wider world and see for themselves that they have the ability to make a lasting difference in the lives of others.”

Ms Smith said the art sale would feature award winning works by renowned artist John Ned Kelly, sculptor Scott Michell and more, as well as the wonderfully talented students of Parkerville Steiner College.

The event runs from 5.30pm to 7pm on March 14 at Bellevue Cottage, 78 Wilkins Street, Bellevue for one night only.
