EIGHT Swan youngsters will be heading to Kalgoorlie next week for the Mini Miss Kalgoorlie national pageant.
As members of the Ellenbrook modelling club Glitz & Co run by director Michaella Evans, the entrants are among 30 competitors from around Australia traveling to the mining town in mid-June to compete for the various titles.
Mrs Evans said Mini Miss Pageants (MMP) began in 2016 with its first event, the Mini Miss Tasmania pageant.
“Since then, MMP has run over 28 individual pageants around Tasmania and in Kalgoorlie, WA,” Mrs Evans said.
“This year, we have contestants from the Ellenbrook and Herne Hill areas aged from 16 months to 12 years entering the finals of the Mini Miss Kalgoorlie pageant.”
Mrs Evans said at Glitz & Co she taught pageantry (modelling) and ran events for babies, kids, teens and adults, both male and female.
“We believe that by instilling confidence and inspiring growth, MMP can provide opportunities for both men and women through its unique platform,” she said.
Mini Miss Kalgoorlie supports all ages and abilities with a number of categories including Little Miss Kalgoorlie (0 to 5 years), Junior Miss Kalgoorlie (ages 6 to 9), Junior Teen Miss Kalgoorlie (10-12), Teen Miss Kalgoorlie (13 to 17), Miss Kalgoorlie (18-29), Ms Kalgoorlie (30 plus) and Mr Kalgoorlie (all ages).
Mini Miss Pageants Australia will be in Kalgoorlie on Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14.
