MEMBERS of the Kalamunda Speakers Rostrum Club recently celebrated their second anniversary.

Meeting weekly at the Zig Zag Cultural Centre seminar room, the club helps people build confidence in public speaking, meeting management and presenting ideas clearly.

With support from Rostrum Clubs of WA coaches, members practise in a friendly, encouraging environment where everyone can improve at their own pace.

“I’ve been involved with Rostrum for the better part of 25 years, and I am still learning how to communicate more clearly and confidently,” club president Mathew Lane said.

“Whether you are speaking at work, at a community event, or at a special occasion, the ability to get your message across can open doors. It does not matter how good you are at what you do if you cannot communicate it effectively.”

Visitors are welcome to come along and see what happens at a Rostrum meeting.

Kalamunda Speakers meets every Wednesday evening at the Zig Zag Cultural Centre seminar room, arriving from 6.15pm for a 6.30pm start with meetings finishing around 7.45pm.
