ARIA Hall of Fame inductees Vika & Linda will be showcasing songs from their most personal album Where Do You Come From? along with other hits from their career spanning over 40 years at the Kalamunda Performing Arts Centre on Friday, September 11.
The duo are two of Australia’s most beloved and enduring voices, from singing together in church as children to chart-topping albums and international stages, the Melbourne sisters have forged a career spanning nearly four decades.
With eight studio albums, multiple ARIA nominations, a #1 album (Akilotoa), and an OAM for services to the performing arts, they are admired by fans and peers alike – “the most loved vocal duo of their generation.”
Blending soul, gospel, rock and country with their rich Tongan heritage, Vika & Linda continue to evolve, creating music that is deeply personal, proudly Australian and timeless in spirit.
Known for their formidable harmonies and intoxicating stage presence, the duo have had an enduring career on and offstage, collaborating with the likes of Paul Kelly, The Black Sorrows, and Kasey Chambers.
After a lifetime of lending their voices to the stories of others, the sisters are stepping forward to tell their own story in full.
While they’ve written at different points across their career, Where Do You Come From? is their first album of predominantly original material since Princess Tabu (1996), a return to songwriting rekindled through the process of writing their 2022 memoir No Bull.
This year they’ve taken this most revealing album on the road to show Australia the genre-spanning versatility and depth of their work – past and present.
