UPGRADES at the City of Kalamunda’s Hartfield Park Sporting Complex are complete, supported by a $620,000 Cook Labor government community sporting and recreation facilities fund (CSRFF) grant and $80,000 in election commitments.

The completed works include upgrades to the Kalamunda Bulldogs Rugby League club rooms, with new change rooms, umpire change rooms, a first aid room, accessible toilet facilities, and a pavilion refurbishment.

The $700,000 funding delivers a modern, accessible sport and recreation space to meet the growing need for unisex changing rooms at Hartfield Park and deliver fit-for-purpose, co-located facilities which support the long-term sustainability of local sports clubs.

Work is continuing across the broader Hartfield Park redevelopment, with construction of a new shared pavilion for the Forrestfield Football Club and the Little Athletics Club underway and expected to be complete next year.

Little Athletics long jump pits and throwing circles for discus and shot put have also been completed, with remaining works expected to be finished by mid-2027.

Forrestfield MLA Stephen Price said the upgraded facilities were a fantastic outcome for the local community and the many clubs and volunteers who call Hartfield Park home.

“The new pavilion and upgraded amenities will help ensure local sporting groups have modern, accessible facilities that can support growing participation for years to come.

Sport and Recreation Minister Rita Saffioti said this was an exciting development for the City of Kalamunda and represents the government’s commitment to providing local communities with the quality sporting infrastructure they need to thrive.
