THE Bindoon & Districts Historical Society in association with the Bindoon Farmers Market and the Northern Valleys Art Group is hosting a historic vehicle day this Sunday, September 20 at Bindoon Oval.

The event is a celebration of all things historic, classic and vintage and suitable for the whole family.

Bindoon & Districts Historical Society secretary Chris Waldie said attendees can expect to see around 250 cars.

“We have a huge variety of different cars from Austins to Jaguars to minis and modern vehicles,” he said.

“Last year, the oldest car we had was 100 years old, so expect to see very historic vehicles.”

Aside from exploring a large collection of classic old cars, motorbikes and trucks, there are plenty of other activities to enjoy including a petting animal farm, market stalls, food and coffee, train rides for children, arts and crafts and a tour of Trinity Church with a courtesy bus to the Brockman Centre included.

There will also be an art display in the hall adjacent to the oval, featuring work by the Northern Valleys Art Group.

At the Brockman Centre visitors can also stop by the Bindoon Museum (managed by the historical society) and see the Bindoon Arts and Crafts’ Quilts in Spring.

The event will commence at 9am and finish at 3pm.

Entry is by a gold coin donation.
