The Midland Guildford Cricket Club teams involved in matches last weekend had mixed results.

THE Midland Guildford Cricket Club senior male sides played Joondalup in 50 over matches, while the senior female sides played T20 matches against Subiaco Floreat and Rockingham Mandurah respectively.

The male 1st grade side overcame a slow start to their batting innings which saw them fall to 6-88 and then later 7-113, before captain Jordan Mast (55 runs not out from 55 balls) and Hudson Knight (44 from 61) combined for a 79-run partnership to propel the score to 9-220 from their 50 overs.

During the second innings, the side fought back from their opponents being 1-125 to take 9-77 and dismiss Joondalup for a total of 202 in an 18-run victory.

The female A grade posted 9-152 against Subiaco Floreat after Abbie Whybrow top scored with 51 from 27, before they restricted their opponents to 7-104 in a comfortable 48-run victory.

Meanwhile, the female B grade lost by four wickets against Rockingham Mandurah.

The male 2nd grade were set a target of 225 for victory and Calan Hill was the key to the run chase as he smashed 10 sixes on his way to 111 from 99.

The side would win by two wickets with 15 balls to spare.

The male 3rd grade would fall short in their match, while the male 4th grade chased 155 for victory after Lennon Brookes scored 56 not out from 93.

The male U17 and male U15 completed their two-day fixtures against Centurions over the weekend.

The male U17 were set a target of 164 for victory, with contributions from Hunter Wills (58 from 55) and Kobe Fernie (73 not out from 84) propelling the side to victory.

The male U15 fell short in their match, as the female U17 had their match against Melville abandoned due to rain.

The female U14 started their season with a match against South Perth where they lost by 14 runs.
