THE Kalamunda Chamber of Commerce’s 2025 business award nominations are now open with the window for submission closing on September 14.

The awards close in on two decades as it enters its 19th year and will once again provide an opportunity for Kalamunda businesses to platform their efforts and contributions in the community.

Nominees do not need to be a member of the Kalamunda Chamber of Commerce to enter the business excellence awards and nomination is free.

Kalamunda Chamber of Commerce chairperson Jon Elbery said the awards weren’t just about celebrating excellence but also the innovation, resilience, and hard work in the region.

“Every year, we’re inspired by local businesses achieving remarkable milestones and helping make Kalamunda such a special place to live and work,” he said.

“Winning business owners have a sense of pride and accomplishment that the recognition of the award reinforces their hard work and dedication.

“(Last year), business owners were also pleased with the opportunity process gave them to take a deep dive into their business processes and systems to see how their operations would be viewed by their customers.

“Businesses that decide to enter generally have a strong sense of community and also see the invaluable benefit they can get by stepping back and closely examining how their business operates.”

Kalamunda Chamber of Commerce chief executive officer Tania Both said in an economic climate that continued to place growing demands on business owners, the awards were a chance to breathe.

“The application process encourages reflection on goals and aspirations,” she said.

“Some past winners have gone on to achieve national recognition, and almost all gain meaningful connections along the way.”

Nominees can confirm their participation through submissions to the chamber, which open on August 11 and close September 21.

Voting in the people’s choice award opens September 12 and closes on September 28.

The gala dinner and awards ceremony will be held at Chalet Rigi on November 8.
