CHIDLOW were too good for Mt Helena winning their round 14 clash 16.12 (108) to 3.4 (22) in what was a likely result for a game between a team in second spot on the HFA ladder and the bottom team.
Hamish Duncan went head to head with Joel Gibson in the ruck duels.
Matt Mallaby scored the first goal for the Cougars closely followed by Adam McKinlay. The ball was stuck in Chidlow’s forward half as the Lions had difficulty getting beyond their centre half forward line.

The second quarter started in the same vein as the first with the Cougars controlling most of the play.

Water began to pool up all over Elsie Austin oval as the rain got heavier and with that the wind picked up making already difficult conditions even worse.
The ball became as difficult to handle as a cake of soap, the players were beginning to tire from the non-stop wrestling for possession.

Adam McKinlay goaled again to bring his game tally to seven.
Cooper Parker continued working hard right to the final siren while Clem Cook hit up team mates with pinpoint passes.
