SWAN Districts confirmed they will finish in third position this WAFLW season with a 17-point win on the road to Perth on Sunday afternoon.

In the second last round of the season Swans took on the Demons in third position with a win to lock away that spot.

Swan Districts then kicked the only two goals of the first half and that set up the eventual 6.5 (41) to 3.6 (24) victory.

The result improves Swans to an 11-4 record this season to not be able to move from third position heading into the last game of the home and away campaign this coming Sunday against East Fremantle at Bassendean oval.

Against the Demons, Kayley King produced a standout performance for Swan Districts with two goals to go with 23 possessions while Summer Yarran also contributed two goals.

Carys D’Addario also made her return to the Swans line-up and picked back up right where she left off with another 23 possessions,
six inside-50 entries and four tackles.

Jaime Henry also gathered 20 disposals for the black-and-whites, Summer Ajduk 16, Indiana West 14, Tamzyn Beros 14, Isabella Edgley 12, Luka Davis 11 and Lauren Quaife 11 to go with 23 hit outs and seven tackles.

Swan Districts dominated the opening quarter at Lathlain with the first goal of the game four minutes in thanks to Yarran.

Meg Carron then added another a few minutes later and Swans went into quarter-time leading by 13 points having held the Demons scoreless.

They held Perth to two behinds in the second quarter as well and even with just one behind themselves, Swans were still leading by 12 points by half-time.

It was then two goals each in the third quarter with the goals for Swan Districts kicked by Yarran and King to remain on top leading by 11 points at three quarter-time.

Goals to Ajduk and King in the opening three minutes of the fourth quarter then secured the 17-point victory for Swan Districts.
