SWAN View will face Chidlow in the Hills Football Association grand final on Sunday after a 55-point win over Mundaring in the preliminary final.

Fine weather ensured a more open game in the preliminary final which Swan View won 17.12 (114) to 8.11(59).

Swan View got away to a flying start with the first three goals of the quarter before the Mundaring Roos even had a chance to settle.

Jeff Ladd was on the end of a pinpoint pass from Josh Hollingum, he lined up on goal and converted the first of his seven for the game.

Anthony Hupping found plenty of space out on a wing, his ability to elude several tackles allowed him to be able to drive the ball into his forward line.

Mundaring bounced back with the next three goals to briefly take the lead.

The Swans settled again to close out the quarter with two more goals.

The Swans carried their momentum into the second quarter adding another five goals to the Roos two.

Mundaring missed a couple of early opportunities which could have had them closer at the main break.

Austin Thomas managed a long range goal.

Caleb Butler had a slight edge over Oli Aitken in the ruck duels allowing his teammates to gain possession and drive the ball forward.

Brendan Shand joined in the goal scoring after taking a strong overhead mark.

Josh Hollingum hit a purple patch collecting multiple possessions, sharing the ball with teammates in better position while also adding to the goal tally.

Mundaring battled away after the half time break with Sateki A’Vard and Lachlan Nicol trying their hardest to keep the Roos going forward.

Dylan O’Loghlen teamed with Kyle Tenardi in an attempt to quell the Swans’ many scoring options.

Hudson Knight and Austin Thomas became the Roos only multiple goal scorers.

Swan View entered the fourth quarter holding a 43-point lead and this was to prove too big a hurdle to get over.

Jeff Ladd, Brendan Shand and Josh Hollingum added another goal each.

Lachlan Emmott was outstanding all game with his run from the backline, his hard run and quick ball movement was often getting under the Roos guard.

In the end the Swans came away with a comfortable 55-point win, to book their place in the 80th HFA grand final against Chidlow on Sunday at George Spriggs Oval in Pickering Brook.
