TUCKED away in the Perth Hills, Mountolive Studio and Garden is bursting with colour, with more than 2000 vibrant bulbs in full bloom.
The captivating 20-acre garden sanctuary encompasses hand-built rock walls crafted in local stone by long-term artisan Frank Katai.
The unique rock foundations provide a dramatic natural backdrop for native and exotic flora as well as exquisite ceramic works by renowned artist Bela Kotai.
Impressive flower displays include ranunculus, anemones, daffodils and freesias.
To help showcase the garden sanctuary, three workshops will be held at Mountolive this month:
Saturday, October 18, 11am:
• Grow your own tomatoes – from seed to harvest, and
• Workshop with Sue Crosse from Susa’s Gardening Sanctuary.
Sunday, October 19, 1 to 4pm:
• Large pot making demonstration by artist Bela Kotai.
Mountolive Studio and Garden is located in Mons Road, Hovea.
