MIDLAND detectives are seeking information regarding a burglary incident in Malaga which occurred sometime on Sunday, September 22 or Monday, September 23, in which several replica firearms and a number of knives were stolen.
Sometime between 5.00pm on Sunday night and 8.00am on Monday morning, entry was forced to a business premises at the Malaga Markets on Bonner Drive.
Eleven replica firearms were stolen, including nine handguns, a AK-47 assault rifle and a ‘Tommy Gun’ submachine gun.
A number of knives and an amount of cash was also stolen.
Detectives are seeking information regarding any people or vehicles seen in the vicinity of the Malaga Markets or surrounding area Sunday night or Monday morning.

GANG crime squad detectives have charged a 36-year-old man with a number of firearm offences following the search of an address in Forrestfield on Tuesday, September 10.
About 10.55am, the accused was arrested by police in the carpark of Hakea Prison on Nicholson Road in Canning Vale in relation to a separate matter.
He was conveyed to an address in Forrestfield where police executed a Firearms Act search warrant. It will be alleged during a search of the home, officers located a 20-gauge single shot shotgun and a .22 calibre pump-action rifle.
The rifle was loaded with 10 rounds of ammunition. Police also located a black gel blaster hand gun, knuckle dusters as well as various quantities of cannabis and steroids.
The 36-year-old Forrestfield man was charged with four counts of possessed a prohibited drug, two counts of unlicensed person possess firearm/ammunition, two counts of possess firearm with circumstances of aggravation, two counts of possessed a prohibited weapon and possession of drug paraphernalia in or on which there was a prohibited drug or plant.
He appeared before the Perth Magistrates Court on September 11 where he had his charges remanded through to September 19.
Gang crime squad officer in charge detective Senior Sergeant Anthony Thompson said whether the firearms are used to commit offences, or used to cause fear to victims who may be targeted, the risk of a person being seriously injured or killed in a confrontation increases when a firearm is present.
“We have seen the reckless disregard for community safety shown by outlaw motorcycle club gang members (OMCG) and associates, including incidents involving firearms being discharged, so we know the removal of these firearms has made our community safer.
“We will continue to ensure OMCG members and associates who engage in criminal activities will be put before the courts to face the consequences of their offending.”
